About the Tides at Fort Popham

Fort Popham gets two high tides and two low tides most days, both about the same size. On a typical day the water rises and falls about 8.0 feet.

The lowest water is -0.2 ft on Sunday, November 8 at 4:27 PM, and the highest is 9.6 ft on Saturday, November 7 at 9:24 AM. A minus tide like that uncovers the most beach, flats and tide pools.
