About the Tides at Budd Inlet
Budd Inlet gets two high tides and two low tides most days, and they are not a matched pair. One high or one low each day is clearly bigger than the other. On a typical day the water rises and falls about 14.4 feet.
Over the next two weeks the biggest tides come on Wednesday, November 11, when the water moves about 16.2 feet. The lowest water is -1.6 ft on Monday, November 9 at 11:48 PM, and the highest is 14.8 ft on Friday, November 6 at 3:09 PM. A minus tide like that uncovers the most beach, flats and tide pools.
NOAA predicts the tides here from years of measurements at station 9446807.
